Celine Sinclair

Roisin is an experienced public engagement strategist with a strong background in driving impactful programmes and fostering key partnerships across Scotland. She has played a pivotal role in enhancing the reach and influence of the Royal Society of Edinburgh through innovative public engagement initiatives.


Roisin brings extensive expertise in strategic management and public engagement, with a distinguished career that includes roles such as Senior Associate at BTA (Bruce Tait Associates) and Public Engagement Manager at the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE). At RSE, she has led the strategic direction of public engagement programmes, developed a new regional engagement strategy, and established key partnerships to expand RSE’s impact.

Her accomplishments include piloting innovative approaches across Scotland, organising interactive, multidisciplinary events at major Scottish festivals, and creating neutral platforms for public debates. Roisin also developed and managed the RSE @ programme, designed to inspire young people and encourage dialogue on significant local and global issues.

In addition to her work with RSE, Roisin has collaborated with organisations such as the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce, The City of Edinburgh Council Education Department, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, with experience spanning national and international tourism sectors.

Roisin is also actively engaged in community initiatives, serving as a Steering Group Member for the East Linton Melting Pot's environmental resilience group and as a Mentor with Business in the Community.
